Common Questions & Answers
What type of music will our DJ play?

That's up to you. We provide all types of music from the 1940's (even some 1920's and 30's) thru the present. It is your party – your choice. Although, please keep in mind the music your guests may like to hear. We will be happy to advise you if you need our help.

Will our DJ play the music too loud?

No – The music should always be at a comfortable level for dancing but never so loud that your guests cannot carry on a conversation without screaming over the music. Some DJ's believe the louder their music is the greater chance they have getting guests to dance. If the music is programmed correctly your guests will dance no matter what the level is.

Should we meet with our DJ before the event?

Yes – It is not necessary but we highly recommend that you do. Our DJ's like to meet the people they will be playing for. By meeting with your DJ you can express your concerns and address issues that may arise during your event. We want you think of us as a friend and not a stranger showing up at your event.

Will our DJ dress appropriately for the event?

Yes – Unless you have specified otherwise our DJ's will always show up dressed in a tuxedo. If you're throwing an event that does not require formal attire let us know how you would like your DJ to show up in. If it is a corporate event ask him to wear a suit. BBQ's – ask him to wear shorts, sandals and a t-shirt.

Will our DJ dress up funny or act like a comic?

The wedding's reception is a time to honor the bride and groom – the DJ should never be the center of attention. Our DJ's will professionally emcee all your events and keep your party running smoothly. We will co-ordinate all events with your caterer, photographer and/or videographer. We will NOT bring a sign or banner advertising our business.  A professional DJ needs only to program music correctly to keep the guests entertained and dancing.

Will our chosen DJ be substituted for another?

No – We understand people like a specific DJ and count on having that person at their event. We do not actively bait and switch our DJ's like some other music services do. Unless your DJ had a serious accident preventing him from attending you are always guaranteed the DJ you have selected. That's our promise!

Can we see our DJ at an event before we decide?

Let me answer that with a question?  At your wedding would you like strangers watching your DJ's performance?  Also, each party is different and we cater our style to your wishes.  We would not like to be judged on what someone else wanted us to do.

Do you have a video we can see?

Yes!  You can see a clip one our home page or feel free to watch the entire video online by clicking the View our Video link or if you would prefer to receive a copy, please ask us to send you one - at no charge - of course.

Can you tell what type of equipment you use?

Both Mike and Bob use Bose L1 professional sound systems, a Pioneer Mixer, cordless microphone, Dell Laptop running Ots Professional DJ program with thousands of songs of all types of music, and Dennon MP3/CD players.

Are you a member of any organization?

Yes – We're proud to be members of the Capital District Wedding Association and the National Association of Mobile Entertainers.
